The Building Inspection and Earthquake Engineering Association (YDDMD) is a public-interest professional organisation that brings engineers working in the fields of structural safety and earthquake engineering together under a shared professional roof.
With 96% of our country’s territory lying on an earthquake belt, the fundamental reason for our association’s existence is to cooperate with the relevant scientific, private and public institutions at home and abroad — and to support their work in every respect — on effective and applicable measures to be taken before and after earthquakes, in order to minimise the great loss of life and property our country suffers as a result of the earthquakes it experiences.
In this direction, with an approach that prioritises engineering conscience, technical competence and public safety, YDDMD has made it its mission to be the common voice of the colleagues it represents and to contribute to the development of an auditable, safe culture of construction.
