Nazmi Şahin — Civil Engineer; President of the Building Inspection and Earthquake Engineers Association (YDDMD).
Nazmi Şahin was born in 1971 in the Alaca district of Çorum. He completed his primary and secondary education in Ankara. He graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering at Near East University (NEU). Between 1997 and 1999 he worked abroad with the Lukoil company, completing the KOGALIM HEATLINE and NEFTBANK projects and receiving a work completion certificate. In 1999 he founded the H.N.E. Proje Mühendislik İnşaat company based in Ankara and began providing services in the design and contracting sector. In 2010 he founded Tunam Yapı Denetim and operated in the field of building inspection. He has worked on many projects at home and abroad; in 2001 he wrote a book on building inspection. He continues to serve as a Member of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce Assembly, Deputy Chairman of the TOBB YOİKK Environment and Zoning Commission, and a member of the Ankara City Council Executive Board. Nazmi Şahin, who speaks English and Russian, is married with two children.
