Türkiye is an earthquake country. Our building stock, meanwhile, is both old and inadequate. Following the Kahramanmaraş-centred earthquakes, urban transformation gained momentum. Constructing earthquake-resistant buildings and reinforcing suitable buildings are more firmly on the agenda than ever before. At the “Earthquake-Resistant Buildings Summit” organised with this awareness, we emphasised the importance of the Building Inspection System for our country.
