As the Building Inspection and Earthquake Engineers Association, we visited the esteemed President of the Ankara Branch of the TMMOB Chamber of Architects, Mr İsmail Coşkun, and Board member Ms Bengisu İnan, at their offices together with our Board members.
In this highly productive meeting, held for the sake of the future of our sector and the transmission of our cities to the future with a strong and aesthetic stance, we examined our shared responsibilities in the building production process.
🌱 The Essence of Building Inspection: The fundamental purpose for which the building inspection system was established is not merely to create a bureaucracy that operates on paper, but to build earthquake-resistant and high-quality living spaces of international standards that safeguard the safety of life and property.
✏ The Place of Our Author Architects: The first step towards safe and aesthetic cities is taken with the original ideas of our author architects. It is our shared aim to protect the copyrights of our architects within the system and to ensure that they attain the strong position they deserve in technical processes.
⏳ Administrative Approval Processes: The delays and bureaucratic obstacles experienced in the relevant administrative approval stages of architectural project designs lead to a loss of both time and motivation. It is essential for our sector that these processes be accelerated through digitalisation, made more transparent, and brought to a standard practice.
📍 Joint Training and Cooperation Decision: With a valuable joint decision taken in our meeting, we will organise meetings and seminars at the training programmes to be held by the Chamber of Architects, in which we will explain the building inspection sector and field practices in detail. We expressed to them that we will strongly support the training processes of our architects on all technical matters concerning site management and the construction site, and that we will always stand by their side.
