Regarding the 7-storey building consisting of duplex apartments, with a pharmacy on its ground floor, that collapsed at 7:30 on 29 October in the Gebze district of Kocaeli, we carried out examinations of the collapsed building together with our Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change of the Republic of Türkiye Hasan Suver, our Director General of Construction Works of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change Murat Oral, our Kocaeli Provincial Director of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change Ahmet Kirilmaz, and the authorised units. As the Building Inspection and Earthquake Engineering Association, we will share our report with the public. We wish God’s mercy upon our citizens who lost their lives and patience for our noble nation. May our Almighty Lord not inflict such pain, sorrow and grief upon our nation; may He never again make us experience such pain, GOD WILLING
