Antalya Building Inspection Meeting

The 13th Meeting of the Building Inspection and Earthquake Engineering Association was held on 20–23 November 2025 at the IC Hotel Green Palace. Our meeting was held with high-level participation from the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change. Among these participants were: Mr. Hakan Yılmaz, Head of the Construction Technologies and Laboratory Department of the General Directorate of Construction Affairs; Mr. Hakan Özdemir, Head of Inspection Branch 2 of the General Directorate of Construction Affairs; Mr. Bahadır Akıncı, Head of Inspection Branch 1; and Ms. Yaprak Albayrak Pala, one of the lawyers of the General Directorate of Legal Affairs. In addition, Mr. Ahmet Onur Özergen, President of the Board of the Ankara Branch of the TMMOB Chamber of Civil Engineers, also honoured the meeting. Our Ministry’s executive-level bureaucrats made presentations related to their fields of expertise, sharing the changes in laws, regulations and communiqués and the practices following these changes. The President of the Board of the TMMOB Ankara Branch’s sharings regarding his impressions of the sector were also included in the programme. Through the presentations of our Board members on the technical research and development, legal, and international programmes and activities carried out by the commissions within the association, the association’s activities during 2025 were examined in detail. Through the question-and-answer sessions of our members who attended the meeting, important contributions were made on sectoral problems and difficulties. At the same time, through the presentations of our association member and producer of the YAP360 programme, Mr. Gazi Yıldız, our members were kept informed of technological developments, and his various works were supported and promoted by the association. While the 2025 activities, changes and new arrangements were examined, broad space was also devoted in the meeting to proposals, ideas and objectives for the year 2026.
