With our students from the Faculties of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Law and our department lecturers, we shared, together with our esteemed lecturers and valued students, the relationship between natural disasters and buildings,
the measures introduced in our legislation to prevent potential damage that may arise in earthquakes, the reasons behind the destructive impact of the 6 February 2023
earthquake after the long period that had passed since the 1999 earthquake (the causes of the
destruction), and the measures taken following this earthquake both in legislation and in terms of building stock,
as well as matters of legal liability in the destruction caused by the earthquake.
